Mysterious Squeaking

Their was some strange squeaking that was coming from my scooter and it turns out that their is a little rubber bumper that had fallen off of the center stand. This bumper kept the stand from rubbing on some metal parts on the bottom of the scooter. After the bumper was replaced the scooter was back to normal.

I had the squeaking problem as wel on one of mine, I have 2 Argo 150 n-18s and it turned out to be the rotor on the brake calipers was to tight. May try that!

I aslo wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. This is A letter I am trying to end to someone at Bajaj or Argo and can not find a website! So here goes:

Hello,

I purchased 2 of your Argo 150-18 scooter a few years back and have to say I love them. As it does get hot in Texas where I live I always keep a cover on them and do not get to ride as much as I would like in the 107 degree heat. I uncovered them after about 2 weeks and neither would crank! I immediately drained the fuel, put in new fuel, charger the batteries, checked the mufflers for dirt daubers…anything I could think of. My father has been building motorcycles since his first race at the age of 12 and knows a lot. And your vacuum fuel delivery system was defiantly a new one for me at least. The problem is neither of them will work. I have clean the carbs and adjusted the valves, even switched carbs to see if that was the problem. They both spit fuel into the carb and idle fine, but as soon as I barley touch the throttle it dies. Sounds like it’s flooding out, or the kill switch is activating. I know that the Ethanol in the fuel eats away at the fuel lines and can cause issues, but I have cleaned the carb, checked the inline filter and have seem zero sign of deterioration. I was hopping for a manual or any thing you can do to help me out. As the last Baja/Argo dealer left Austin, TX…The mecca of scooters, I am your riding advertisement…and I talk about them a lot!!!

Thank you for any help you may have for me!

Sincerely,
Blake Oliver
